There are three important parts of justice administration – court, police and prosecution, in which the work of prosecution is done after the court by providing proper evidence collected by the police to provide justice to the victim through the court and Secure Sentence of criminal To Punish them. In this way, the prosecution department acts as the backbone of the entire justice administration and directly plays an important role in the smooth functioning of law and order. Headquarters of the Public Prosecution Directorate, Madhya Pradesh is located in Bhopal. Under the current administrative system, 01 Deputy Director Prosecution Officer, 01 District Public Prosecution Officer, 01 Additional District Prosecution Officer, 10 Assistant District Public Prosecution Officers, 06 Assistant Grade 3 and PCD/APCD in District Headquarters Anuppur.

Liability

The main responsibility of the Directorate of Prosecution, to ensure effective prosecution in the entire state of the various cases under consideration in all magistrate’s courts and sessions courts in M.P. As Per Madhya Pradesh State Litigation Management Policy 2018 The responsibility of effective prosecution operations in state have Director Prosecution of MP and at district it have same way to Deputy Director Prosecution. Prosecution has a Responsibility to present an effective side and punish the culprits. Prior to the formation of the Directorate, the prosecutor of the regular cadre used to work only in the Magistrate Courts to Prosecute cases submitted by the “Police Department”. After the formation of the Directorate, along with the Police Department, the responsibility of lobbying in the cases of Forest Department, Food and Drug Administration Department, Napoleon Department, Excise Department has also been given to the prosecution officers.

An innovative initiative has been taken by the government in the interest of justice. Witness Help Desk has been set up in all the districts of the state with the aim of protecting the Witnesses from the problems that face by them also providing proper guidance through mobile phone. Media in-charge

According to the policies of the government, a media wing has been formed to spread the successes of the government in the district to maximum publicity and publicize the achievements of prosecution. So that the message in the society is that if someone commits a criminal act, then he has to go to jail after being punished.
