Notification regarding Land Acquisition for Thermal Power Project at Kolmi Village

Since the State Government is satisfied that the land described in Columns (2) to (5) of the Schedule is required for the purpose specified in Column (6), it intends to acquire 6.625 hectares of private land situated in Village Kolmi, Tehsil Anuppur, District Anuppur, for the operation of the 2 × 800 MW Thermal Power Project allotted by the State Government to NewZone India Private Limited.

For the said project, proceedings under Sections 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (Act No. 30 of 2013) have been undertaken. The Social Impact Assessment Report, Social Impact Management Plan, recommendations of the Expert Group, and recommendations of the Collector have been duly recorded. These documents have also been published in two daily newspapers and uploaded on the official website of District Anuppur.

Further, prior consent for the acquisition of 6.625 hectares of private land in Village Kolmi, Tehsil Anuppur, District Anuppur, affected by the project, has been obtained in accordance with Rule 9 of the Madhya Pradesh Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Rules, 2015, for NewZone India Private Limited. More than 80 percent of the landowners affected by the project area have given their consent for the acquisition of the land.

Since the State Government is satisfied that the land described in Columns (2) to (5) of the Schedule is required for the purpose mentioned in Column (6), it intends to acquire 35.341 hectares of private land situated in Village Raksa, Tehsil Anuppur, District Anuppur, for the operation of the 2×800 MW Thermal Power Project allotted to NewZone India Private Limited.

For this project, proceedings under Sections 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (Act No. 30 of 2013) have been carried out.
